Ah, the femurs of nature!
Welcome back! Glad that you stopped by...
Happy New Year
Well, there you have it! Another new year. It frightens me to see it again, as it seems that the sands of time slowly slip through my fingers. Sounds dire, I know. I am actually hoping that this new year is better than the last, and I look forward to so many changes in my life in that direction.
The Plague Strikes
Of course, after teaching for three months in that institution called a "school" without a hitch (per se), I catch a cold right at the Christmas Holiday begins. ...with the in-laws there too! ...and having to cook Christmas dinner! ...hosting guests for the first time! ...on perhaps the coldest week of the year! ...oh, and we were pretty much broke!
Actually, I kicked butt! Dinner came off without a hitch, none of Mel's family became ill, I recovered, and Christmas was nice, if a little quiet for my taste. However, Mel's now sick and has a terrible chest-cold thing going. Rattles the rafters with her coughing. We never seem to win!
Deathly Hallows
Okay, okay, we finally finished it! I took me all these months to work myself up to read it. So, I read aloud to Mel for the past two days. We finished a marathon 8-hour session this morning at 2 AM. We enjoyed the book very much, and were pleased with the outcome. She did good.
So, here is a wish for you for a Happy and Safe New Year!
Take care,
~Dane
